Kane Hodder stands out as an formidable villain. The cast provides an impressive performance. It feels like a slasher film from the 1980s, with the dialogue being somewhat funny and snarky. There are also instances of humor in the movie which add humour to the bloody action.
Because the budget was $1 million, most places were reused from previous films. The house on the lake used twice in the movie was a prime instance. A lot of the film feels like it was recycled from other films in the franchise. For those who have seen Hatchet or (click now to view clip) Hatchet 2, this could make the movie feel familiar.
Overall, Hatchet 3 was a excellent series overall. There were plenty of gory thrills, and there were some great performances from the actors.
